It states clear as day that the time will come where Christians are going to be persecuted in a far greater manner than what we feel on a daily basis. We are already singled out and considered outcasts.
‘If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours’ John 15:19-20 ESV
Slowly but surely we’re going to see Countries ban the very talk of Jesus Christ along with His written word. Not only is the Chinese Communist Party doing its due diligence in banning the word ‘Christ’ from it’s Social Media platforms stating claims that it causes ‘Incitement’ – back in December 2021, the Canadian government pushed for a new law banning ‘Conversion Therapy’ in churches sermons. This Canadian Law (Bill C-4) went into effect on January 8th 2022; that made practising, promoting and profiting from conversion therapy a criminal offense in Canada. Essentially, they made it illegal for Christian Pastors to preach that homosexuality is in fact a sin. Stating these claims could have those in prison for a sentence up to five years.
Knowing Canada sold out to China a long time a go, it did not come across as a surprise whatsoever when I saw that the Chinese Communist Party has dug its heels in even deeper; banning the word 'Christ' and other religious words from its social media and internet platforms. This new policy known as ‘Measures for the Administration of Internet Religious Information Services’ - did go into effect on March 1st (so I’m a little late to the show), but lately I have been wondering what the world will be like when we are to no longer be able to have the Bible in our hands. That day is fast approaching.
The policy that China has brought in also states that those who do want to post Christian and religious content will have to have a license and training to do so. This means that all religious information online must be published in accordance with the relevant provisions of these regulations. Therefore, those in China can no longer publish religious information online at will.
This isn’t going to stop at China. I can shamefully admit I am fairly active on Instagram, however there has already been times when I have posted about our Lord and Saviour and have been told that my post does not meet the ‘terms and conditions’ of the app. The filter they will place on those who wish to post about Christ, is going to bring about even more false prophets than you could ever imagine. The written word being filtered and distorted to fit this dystopian agenda. It’s terrifying. I remember being told this past summer from someone very dear to me, ‘memorize His word, because one day we won’t be able to have it to look back on’. Censoring vaccination and political information is one thing, but to silence those who are on fire for Christ – this is where the line is drawn. But this also means, His return is that much closer.
