It's a mix of sad / funny to me that a Virginia-based tech company, Arthur Grand, is under fire for doing what SO MANY major companies are being cheered on to do.

How many times have you seen an ad online of businesses hiring PEOPLE OF COLOR ONLY?
I'll answer that one, MANY TIMES!
It seems that diversity hires are only ok if the people being hired are POC (People of Color), as soon as a company shows that they are hiring a white person, even if it was a "mistake", as stated in a LinkedIn post, they are at risk of being canceled.
"This job posting was neither authorized nor posted by Arthur Grand or its employees. A former employee took an existing posting and added discriminatory language, then reposted it through his own account. The moment this was brought to our attention, we worked with the job portal to remove this offensive job posting. Necessary legal action has been initiated against the job poster."
What kind of makes this even more of a clown show, is the fact that "Arthur Grand is a minority-owned company that has been offering IT and staffing services since 2012 and we pride ourselves on the diversity of our staff and leadership.".

If diversity is REQUIRED and CHEERED upon in the workplace, maybe this company had too many POC and had to get a white person to be considered more DIVERSE, oh wait I forgot, anything white is just wrong.
It's hard to find a single person in the below tweet comments that sees this for being obnoxiously hypocritical as it is...
I'll tell ya this, I will never hire based on RACE, I will always hire based on the fact of an individual being a great fit for the job.
Sad truth of the matter is that too many companies are losing out on very well qualified white people for positions they deserve, over POC that are just hired for DIVERSITY.
This has a huge effect on consumers, turned me away from many places.
It is disgusting and truly racist!
The fast food industry around me in Michigan is a perfect example of this. I am in the Metro Detroit area, let me tell you, every single fast food restaurant seems to only employee black people from Detroit, they have all gone down the tubes, they are all dirty, service is terrible, none have people skills, and they all dress like they just woke up or are ready to work the streets.
If you go more up north in Mi., all the restaurants managed and employed by white people are clean, they greet you with a smile, know how to talk, and provide excellent service.
It is just a VERY SAD TRUTH that we have to deal with these days.
If you want a good job, no matter what color you are, you should earn it. Show you know your stuff, show you know how to properly present your self, pull up your pants, get rid of your crazy hairdos, look presentable, speak clear English.
It's sad to me that these diversity hires can be proud of their position when they do not deserve them.
Sad I have to say this, if you deserve the job, you deserve the job, I do not care if you are white, black, yellow, green, blue, it is VERY obvious when someone is a diversity hire, just as obvious as it is when a woman is hired for nothing more than her looks.
Diversity hires are killing industries and taking jobs from those who deserve them.
